Zynga's chief executive speaking during press conference.

Zynga Inc unveiled a social network for gamers named as “Zynga with Friends” on Tuesday, hoping to cut itself from a long relationship with Facebook Inc which has shaped these two Internet companies. Zynga and Facebook are the two most closely watched Silicon valley companies.

While announcing during the press event the game publishers said that in this new network it will be able to pair the users with the opponents and make features such as player profiles and chat available to all the users irrespective whether the users are playing the games on the desktop computers or the mobile devices. It is being said that the game publisher, are in under pressure to reverse a steep slide in stock price in recent months.
The senior Zynga executive told the reporters that with this network they wanted to created one network, one unified experience and one social lobby that will connect all the player together irrespective which device they are using for playing the game. He also added that the new social features and services are designed for only one purpose of bringing more people to play together, Bronstein added.
Executives also added that they are going to provide programming tools to help third –party developers publish online and mobile games based on its own software in order to create a Zynga “ecosystem” that will expand the titles range of Zynga beyond it’s main title such as “Farmville” and “Zynga Poker”.
Even after all these announcements the shares of the Zynga closed 5 percent lower on Tuesday as the investors weren’t convinced with the announcements which included the planned social network and introduction of 3 new game titles as they didn’t saw the long term growth in the company’s stock. According to the gaming analysts, they don’t see any growth left in this social gaming idea and the unveiling of Farmville 2- it doesn’t make that much exciting to the financial investors.
The company also announced the sequel to it’s already hit “Farmville” named as “Farmville 2”, as well as “Matching with Friends” an addition to the “Words with Friends” to a suite of smartphone games.
What to do think that will “Farmville 2” will be hit and will Zynga social network will be successful in gamers community ?

0 Google to launch Android tablet at I/O 2012

Google is  rumored to announce its first highly anticipated tablet computer during its annual developer conference in California which kicks off tomorrow.

According to an Australian website which is popular for gadgets have claimed to  seen the specification for an 7-inch tablet which Google is rumored to unveil during the developer conference which is too be kicked off from tomorrow in San Francisco. The main motive of bringing out this tablet is show casing the tablet makers what can be achieved with android OS. It is exactly the same way when Google launched its Nexus series of smartphone. The same website also told us that the tablet will be priced at $200 which can give a tough competition to already successful Amazon’s Kindle Fire tablet.

What other one can expect from this year’s conference is the Google developer revealing more details about the latest Android operating System which is used for running smartphones and tablet computers named as Android Jelly Beans and an extension to the Google Wallet for including mobile payments.

Google has scheduled 2 keynote speeches one each for Wednesday and Thursday. Both these speeches and the developers sessions will be streamed online. Interesting  Google has not confirmed any announcements ahead of the conference.

This year conference is expected to be attended by more than 5,000 developers to get technical tips from Google employees.

Last year’s conference included the announcement of Chromebooks- Google’s own range of laptop running it’s own chrome operating system, Google Music, the streaming service service offered by Google and giving a strong competition to Apple iTunes and Amazon. And the Ice cream Sandwich update to Andriod Operating System.

However one thing is noticed in the previous conference that Google’s product aren’t always successful when Google launches them in these conference. For example Google launched Google Wave at its 2009 conference but was closed early this year. Another example includes launch of Google TV which underwent many redesign to suit for the US people but still isn’t a hit.
